About us

After years of tireless work Dr. Jodi Thannum was able to open her own veterinary clinic. In 2004 Extra Care Animal Hospital opened its doors for patients and clients. The hard work did not stop for Dr. Thannum and her team. Over the past 20 years we have stood strong, helping countless pets, families, and our community. We've established loyal clientele, many of which have been with us since day one, without whom we would not have succeeded.
In the summer of 2024 we welcomed Dr. Sandra Buckweitz to our clinic. Since her beginning here, she has opened our staff's eyes as well as our client's to the wonders of alternative medicine. After taking courses in herbal integration she has successfully been using herbals as medical treatment for many patients. Always striving for greatness, success, and healing, Dr. Buckweitz and Dr. Thannum have helped countless of patients.
