Meet Our Vet Assistants

Hi! I’m Samantha or Sam a 19-year-old student at Broward College, currently working toward my Associate of Arts degree. My goal is to continue my education and pursue a career in veterinary medicine something I’ve been passionate about for as long as I can remember. Outside of school, I love spending time with animals (especially my 11-year-old Pitbull, JD), getting lost in a good book, and baking for family and friends. Whether it’s caring for pets or whipping up something sweet in the kitchen, I find joy in anything that involves care, creativity, and heart.

From a young age, I’ve felt a deep connection to animals. Growing up surrounded by horses, birds, dogs, cats, bunnies, and fish, I quickly discovered that caring for them wasn’t just a responsibility but my passion. I’ve always known that I wanted to dedicate my life to making a difference in their lives, just as they’ve made a difference in mine. Animals have a unique way of healing the soul, lifting spirits, and bringing out the best in us. They give us so much, and I believe they deserve just as much love in return.

I am a student at Florida State University but earned my vet assisting license in high school. Growing up, I’ve always loved animals and had a passion for working with them. Additionally, I have spent time with horses and agricultural animals. With these diverse experiences, as well as those I've gained from working at Extra Care the past two years, my love for animals only continues to grow.
